DAY 1
Fly Direct to Kiruna. Transfer to Ice Hotel. Overnight in cabin
Start your IceHotel and Northern Lights Holiday with a relaxing direct flight to Kiruna with in-flight meal and complimentary beer and wine.
On arrival transfer to the Original IceHotel. After check in for your first 2 nights in a cabin kit out with your complimentary Arctic Clothing.
This evening enjoy at leisure. We could reserve a table at the IceHotel restaurant for you if you wish to sample the excellent cuisine.

Optional Extra- Northern Lights Watch in Abisko
An hour's drive from the IceHotel takes you to the Abisko, the Northern Lights Capital of Europe. Enjoy a delicious 3 course dinner at Abisko Mountain Lodge prior to taking the chairlift up Mount Nuolja to the Aurora Sky Station, which offers visitors a panoramic view over Lapporten, the Abisko Alps and Tornetrask.
During the winter nights this is, dependent on weather conditions, one of the best places on earth for consistent sightings of the Northern Lights.

Return to the Ice Hotel late evening and overnight in cabin

DAY 2
Reindeer or Snowmobile Adventure. Northern Lights Evening in Hot Tub
After breakfast you have 2 possibilities available.
Possibility 1 : Wilderness Snowmobile Adventure. Your guide will meet and transfer you to a spectacular valley near Kiruna for your snowmobile adventure. Explore the arctic wilderness in terrain that includes the frozen river and lake system of the Kalix river & Sami sacrifice areas with remarkable views before you. The valley is home to wild moose and reindeer so you will no doubt bump into a few on your travels.
Possibility 2: Sami experience with Reindeer sledding. Your guide will take you to Rávttas, a small Sami village close to the mountains. Learn about the traditional Sami lifestyle. Help round up some Reindeer prior to the highlight a reindeer ride through the forest. Enjoy lunch with smoked reindeer meat (suovas) and bread (gahkku) aound the open fire in a Sami tepee (lavvu).
This evening transfer to Mattharakka Sami Lodge for a relaxing 3 course Lappish dinner and private outdoor hot tub experience.
From the outdoor hot tub on the roof top relax in private and enjoy the star filled night sky and with a little luck even see the Northern Lights dancing above you. If the 35-40 degree water isn´t hot enough for you enjoy a traditional sauna in the special relaxation zone. Overnight in Cabin at Ice Hotel
