Oman's climate is mainly hot and dry. Between Sept to March the temperature is between the mid 20's to the early 30's, whilst in the summer it can go as high as 40 degrees celcius
On the coast humidity can be high during the summer months of May to September. Milder temperatures and a more temperate climate is found in the southern Dhofar region, which experiences heavy monsoon rains between June and September each year.
In general the rest of the country experiences low and irregular rainfall
Late Sept to early April is the best time as the weather is pleasant between mid 20's to early 30's degrees celcius.
However the core season for turtles is June to Sept, though you may see them the whole year round.
We would recommend a Sat departure. If you would prefer to leave on another day this is of course possible but it may mean you will not be able to see everything.
The Cattle Market at Nizwa is only on a Friday and the Womens Souq in Ibra is only on a Wednesday.
