Kangos is set in the heart of Lapland away from the tourist trail. The area is stunningly beautiful and in its midst, nestled in a pine tree forest overlooking a lake is one of the most beautiful retreats we have found in Lapland.
Run by a wonderful couple, Johan and Sara go out of their way to make you feel at home. There is a husky kennel on site with 120 working huskies that keep grown ups and children amused, whilst there is also a lakeside hot tub and sauna from which to gaze over the frozen lake, or up to the star filled sky where the Northern Lights can be seen on occasion.
With 3 different types of accommodation this has an exclusive and privileged feel.
Run by a wonderful couple, Johan and Sara go out of their way to make you feel at home. The three levels of accommodation are:
Husky Lodge - 4 bedrooms and 10 beds in total this is perfect for a large family group or a couple of families travelling together. There is a private lounge and all rooms are en suite.
Pine Tree Lodge - The main building with a restaurant with panoramic views over the lake and island also has an accommodation floor with 10 double rooms. Built in 2011 these rooms are pristine and have generous en suite bathrooms.
Lakeside Cabins - 3 cabins with a double and a sofa bed that can accommodate two children. A good sized en suite bathroom and log burning fire makes it very snug! << Hide details
