After having been expropriated by the communists, Zabola was only finally returned to the family in 2002 and the family are restoring its splendour.
The 18th century Machine House that used to host the machinery that kept the estate running has now converted to excellent accommodation. It has been carefully and stylishly refurbished and offers a unique combination of bygone elegance, modern comforts and exceptional cuisine.
