Nestled in a Boreal forest in Swedish Lapland is one of the world's most unusual hotels - the Treehotel. Conceived and run by the charming Kent and Britta the concept was created on a fishing trip and has been put into place through partnerships with some of the best architects in Sweden.

Tree Hotel Break
DAY 1
Fly to Lulea in Swedish Lapland. Snowmobile To Your Secluded LodgeFly to Lulea in Swedish Lapland, where you will be met and transferred to Brändö for a welcome drinks whilst you kit up with your arctic clothing.
Depending on your arrival time either snowmobile or 4WD to Pine Bay Lodge over the frozen Archipelago. If at night then you may even get your first sighting of the Northern Lights.
The Lodge is situated on the coastal edge of the Luleå Archipelago and is a unique wilderness environment where the sea around the island freezes up to a metre thick in winter. The lodge is a lovely traditional Swedish red cottage with a very homely feel. There are only 8 en suite guest rooms .
Enjoy a wholesome 2 course dinner prepared using local ingredients.

DAY 2
Pack ice Snowmobile Tour, Island lunch and SaunaToday do what is simply one of the best snowmobile trips available in Lapland - a 4 hour adventure on the frozen seas in the Luleå Archipelago! Stop for hot drinks and a chance at ice fishing. Your destination is the island of Brändöskär in the outermost archipelago, an idyllic fishing village dating from the 17th century. From here gaze out over the frozen Bothnian bay with its seemingly endless fields of pack ice and snow. Some years the blue ice piles up into formations about 10 metres high - a mighty experience!
Make a lunch stop at Jopikgården on the island of Hindersön. Famous for its food it is a rewarding place to stop and enjoy a relaxing lunch after your pack ice experience.
This evening relax in a traditional Swedish Sauna before enjoying a 3 course dinner. After dinner take a drink with you and relax by the fireplace or venture outside in search of the Aurora Borealis.

DAY 3
Drive your own Husky Team and overnight at the Tree HotelAfter breakfast your guide will transfer you to the kennel about 15kms away from the lodge. You and a partner will learn to take control of a husky team and have the satisfaction of mushing them as you drive on the forest and lake trail. The experience lasts 2 hours and is sure to leave you with some fantastic memories.
Upon your return you will be driven to the Tree Hotel, the world's most original new hotel. The 5 themed tree rooms are set in pristine forest surrounded by stillness and wilderness. Check into your tree room and enjoy adapting to life in the trees!
Britta, your welcoming hostess will prepare a lovely dinner, served in her little lodge near the Tree Hotel.

Day at LeisureAfter breakfast relax and enjoy your home in the trees, go for a walk or see what other activities are happening on the day.
This evening check into your room in the quaint Brittas Guest Lodge for your last night. Enjoy her hearty cooking for the last time!
There is the option of staying an extra night in your tree cabin or perhaps change to another.

Fly Home or extend your Stay with a Stockholm Mini BreakAfter breakfast relax until your transfer to the airport for your flight home. Why not take the opportunity of seeing Stockholm on the way back. We offer a 2 night mini break staying at the ABBA Rival Hotel.

If you would prefer to spend two nights in the Tree Hotel you can substitute the night staying at the Brittas Pensionat for a night in your chosen tree house.
The tree Hotel comprises 6 unique themed Tree Rooms, created by 6 separate architects. These are the Mirrorcube, Bird's Nest, Cabin, Blue Cone, Room with a view and the UFO and we will try, subject to availability to get the room or combinations of rooms you would like.

Northern Lights Snowmobile Adventure
After dinner at the lodge venture out with your guide across the frozen sea on snowmobiles to search once again for the Northern Lights. This 2 hour experience is a unique as on the frozen sea if the Aurora are out then you have a majestic horizon-horizon view of them.

Northern Lights Snow Shoe Walk
Walking through the forest your experienced guide will tell you about life in the northern wilderness. Light your own fire and brew some tea and coffee while searching towards the heavens for those magical curtains of light - the Aurora Borealis

Stockholm is a beautifully situated and compact city and provides a great stopping off place en route to Lapland. Spend the afternoon roaming the old town and enjoy a meal out at one of the quaint restaurants.
The medieval old town in Stockholm is very picturesque and compact with its maze of alleyways, ancient churches and small squares. Restaurants and cafes abound to tempt fun meal stops. Culture wise the city offers the fascinating Vasa Museum, one of the world's finest, the Nobel Prize Museum, 2 very different art museums and the Royal Palace.
