DAY 1: 27 February 2014

Fly to Venice. Gourmet Tasting Menu dinner
After arrival transfer to your hotel by boat to start your Venetian Carnival short break.

This evening enjoy a 5 course tasting menu in the Metropole Hotel restaurant. It has an excellent reputation and the service is attentive and discreet. You will have the unique choice of 2 tasting menus based on the same ingredients but cooked in entirely different ways - traditional and contemporary.

DAY 2: 28 February 2014

Costume Fitting, Promenade
This morning your costume fitting will take place at the Atelier. Antonia Sautter is Venice's leading Atelier and many of the costumes are truly spectacular pieces of art and she is fastidious in ensuring that all clients attending one of her balls look fantastic!. You will provide your dimensions and colour preferences beforehand so that at the fitting the Atelier team will have preselected options for you to try on.

Without doubt one of the highlights of this trip is promenading through the alleyways of Venice in your historical costume during the Venice Carnival.

You will be delighted at how fantastic you feel in these stunning costumes, and amazed at how many people want to take photos of you! This is a really special couple of hours and an experience of a lifetime.

From personal experience we would recommend you stop for lunch and savour the moment with a glass of wine overlooking the Grand Canal.

DAY 3: 1 March 2014

Attend World Famous Il Ballo del Doge.
You have another morning to promenade around Venice in your historical costumes. This really is a very unique experience and we are thrilled that we have managed to secure the costumes for so long for you to enjoy them. It is a “Once on a Lifetime Opportunity” to wear these beautiful handmade costumes so enjoy them to the full !

This evening attend the World Famous Il Ballo del Doge, the most exclusive Venetian Carnival masked ball. This year is the platinum version as it is the 20th anniversary and is set to be a scintillating evening of grandeur in every aspect. The Ballo del Doge brings together a cosmopolitan celebrity audience from around the world who mingle “incognito” behind spectacular costumes and masks.

Arrive by boat on the Grand Canal and feel the sense of anticipation rise! From the moment of your approach to the sumptuous Palazzo Pisani Moretta on the Grand Canal, your imagination will soar. Upon your arrival on the doorstep, you will be welcomed into a fairy-tale world of international dancers, singers, jesters, musicians, acrobats and fire-eaters.

Waiters in livery will serve you a sumptuous dinner and dancing continues until the small hours of the morning. A true re-creation of an 18th Century Venetian party.

We offer two levels of tickets

VIP. The VIP Guests arrive at 8.30pm to entertainment and music. After a welcome glass of champagne you will be invited upstairs to the 1st Floor Noble rooms to dine by candlelight amongst lavish and beautiful settings. These rooms are intimate and personal, some with outstanding frescoes and you will be entertained by jesters, comedians, magicians amongst others who will move from table to table engaging the guests during the meal.

FULL. You will arrive at 9.30pm. After a welcome glass of champagne you will be invited upstairs to the second floor where there is one large room which has been decorated to host “Passion”. Here jesters, comedians, magicians and entertainers will perform on a stage as you dine.

As this is a “Once in a Lifetime Opportunity” we would certainly recommend you take the VIP option so as to experience this extraordinary Ball for as long, and in the most beautiful rooms, as possible.

After dinner everyone will move to stand in the main Noble Hall on the 1st Floor to watch a series of outstanding performances . A joyous yet sophisticated and sensual show is being developed around the theme of AMORE.

Soon after the disco and bar will open on the ground floor where you can dance until 2.30/3am or remain and chat at your tables. We would certainly recommend after dinner you parade around the Palazzo and see all the beautiful individually decorated rooms.
