DAY 1
Fly to Iceland

Fly to Reykjavik and on arrival have a fly-bus transfer you to your hotel to start your special weekend away.

Rest of the day is free, perhaps to enjoy one of the best seafood restaurants you will find anywhere in the world. Overnight in Reykjavik.

DAY 2
Fly to Greenland to start your West Greenland Tour by visiting Ilulissat

Transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight to Greenland. On arrival at Ilulissat a guide will pick you up at airport and transfer you to the Arctic hotel to start your West Greenland Tour.

Ilulissat City Walk to visit the old part of town and learn its history. You will see the original Danish trading station, the busy fishing harbour, the old church and the museum prior to a lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight in Ilulissat.

DAY 3
Dog Sledge Adventure

Enter an Arctic Wonderland - You will feel as if you are travelling back in time into the world of old Polar Explorers through ice covered fjords where icebergs rise like sculptures. All you will hear is the sounds of the sledge moving over the ice.

The route you take depends on actual snow and ice conditions but the route varies from the mountains and fjords near to Ilulissat to also the possibility to sledge across the frozen sea to the tiny settlement of Rodebay with its 40 inhabitants who survive on fishing and hunting. The trip includes a stop for lunch and the provision of fur clothes and boots to keep you warm. Overnight in Ilulissat.

DAY 4
Sermermiut Icebergs.

You will go as far as the road goes, and then take a beautiful walk along to the UNESCO designated Ilulissat Ice Fiord to Sermermiut where traces from the 3 old Eskimo cultures still can be seen, as well of course as the fantastic icebergs. Overnight in Ilulissat

DAY 5
Fly to Iceland and transfer to hotel in Reykjavik after your West Greenland Tour.

Transfer to the airport for your midday flight to Iceland. Transfer from Keflavik airport to hotel for night at leisure in Reykjavik. Overnight in Reykjavik.

DAY 6
Relax at Blue Lagoon, Flybus transfer to airport for flight home after your Iceland and Greenland short break.

After Breakfast check out prior to Flybus transfer to Iceland’s most famous attraction - the Blue Lagoon. Enjoy bathing and relaxing in the sensual geothermal seawater, known for its positive effects on the skin.

In addition to bathing there is a sauna with a view of the lagoon, a steam bath with white walls that resemble silica mud and a cosy steam bath carved into a lava cave. The milky waters and silica are famous for their health benefits. (Entrance fee not included)

Finally you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight home after your special weekend break.

Helicopter trip to land on the ice cap
During the flight from Ilulissat cruise over the mountains and at low altitude fly over the Ilulissat Ice Fiord, which is now on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Land in front of the glacier wall to enjoy the arctic scenery with a glass of champagne. You will follow the fiord all 55 kilometers to the open sea and circle over the huge Icebergs before landing.
