Congratulations on a hat trick – 3 superb holidays this year! The Aquapuro hotel was truly amazing, from the very warm welcome right the way through to the transfer back to the airport. The facilities were better than expected amazing and the staff so helpful, nothing was too much for them. As for the setting, where else can you turn a corner and have your breath taken away with the fantastic views.
We were somewhat disappointed, not to say surprised to read a few negative reports of the hotel on Trip Advisor, and found the points made petty and unwarranted. It really would be hard to criticise any aspect of this complex, it is quite different to anything else we have experienced but the room was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped and the spa was extensive - we both enjoyed a fabulous massage.
The blend of the old and new is so well done, it was, for us, a haven in glorious part of Portugal.
The day we went grape picking was unforgettable as it coincided with the last day of this years harvest. We were the only English speaking people in a group of 50 or so, the rest being mainly Portugese but the friendship and warmth that was extended to us by the rest of the group and especially the Vineyard manager was unbelievable.
As ever, Weekend a la Carte you’ve come up trumps once again, thanks for all your help and attention to detail. We’ve already booked for another trip next year, we just know that it’s going to be like all our other holidays with you – first class from start to finish.
