First feedbacks from the first weekend of Verona Opera 2012

Thank you for your message. In view of the efficiency and courtesy I received during all contacts with Weekend a la carte I was not surprised to receive it but had hoped to beat you to it!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. Everything went like clockwork. The Hotel was excellent and the staff most helpful. The highlight has to be the Opera, we.expected a spectacle and my word we got it. Although we enjoy classical music this was our first visit to an Opera and apart from visiting the Arena again any other venue woud I feel be an anti-climax. This was our first holiday with you and I hope not the last.Kind regards, John Wild"

At Verona we were met by a charming lady who took us to our hotel in a very nice car, she was chatty and informative. The Hotel (5th Floor) was super, clean, bright and far exceeded our expectations. (We are well travelled as I worked for BA and travelled everywhere with Concorde Charters staying in 5 star hotels). Everything was waiting for us at the hotel check-in. Verona was hot throughout 35 degrees and no rain so we took things slowly!! It is a fabulous city, clean with marble pavements, friendly people  so much to see without the need for transport, we took the tour bus on one of our days a big recommendation there. The Opera. You obtained the most fantastic tickets for us, row 9 right in the middle. we went in early to soak up the atmosphere and the opera was absolutely awesome!! The scene of the victory parade was just out of this world. We met others who also booked through you and they too enjoyed the opera immensely so very well done and many thanks. The charming young lady picked us up from the hotel nice and early and again was very chatty so we enjoyed the short ride back to the airport. We chose the wrong side of the aircraft to sit on on the way back seats 8A and 8B as the centre seat on the left hand side of the aircraft are very much narrower than on the right side so this is something to let your customers know about and also that you can book your seats for the return well in advance at a cost of £10 per person which in retrospect we should have done. I also think that the earlier afternoon flight home would be better for your customers as we had to leave the rooms at 12 noon and it was very hot so all of us sat in the hotel lobby for 5 hours. Overall it was a supremely wonderful trip and well organised for us by yourselves so a very big thank you from us both”. rgds Pookys
