Oman is one of the most beautiful and culturally interesting of the Arabian states. Beautiful coastlines meet soaring mountains in a land steeped in history. It is truly a wonderful place to visit.

At Weekend a la carte we offer 2 Oman Trips to tempt you away to this wonderful country, and both trips have private guides and vehicles throughout.

The Express break focuses on the wildlife in Oman over just 4 nights. At Ras al Jinz you will have the moving opportunity to watch turtles laying their eggs on the beach at night, and at sunrise watch the baby turtles digging their way out of their nests, and you could see up to 200 dolphins at any one time!

The longer Highlights Trip lasts 9 nights, with the option for a 3 night extension in the south as well.

As you travel through Oman you will see beautiful and dramatic Canyons, Gorges and Oasis, visit stunning mountain villages and see the famed Falaj irrigation channels, as well as 400 yr old mud houses. You will stay up in the mountains and take an easy hike where you will see sea fossils 2400 m high, and take an exhilarating mountain track 4 WD journey back to Muscat.

Finally experience true desert at Wahiba Sands with its majestic Sand Dunes whilst staying in an air conditioned tent and stop to see Majestic Forts and charming Fishing Villages, as well as the famed cattle market of Nizwa. But don’t forget to take time to speak to the locals who are so proud of their country and so keen to extend hospitality to visitors.

Oman has a lot to offer for those looking for an adventure whilst staying in fabulous hotels.
