DAY 1

Fly to Amman to start your Holiday in Jordan
Arrive in Amman where you will be met for your private transfer to your hotel to start your Holiday in Jordan . Overnight in Amman.

Day 2

Visit Ajlum, Jerash, Um Qais
This morning visit the village of Ajlum with its fortress and Jerash, one of the best-preserved provincial Roman towns in the world. Jerash is sometimes called the Pompeii of the East, as it was home to over 250,000 people.

Early afternoon explore Um Qais, a city rich with basalt ruins overlooking the Jordan Valley, Golan Heights and Lake Tiberius (the Sea of Galilee). Overnight in Amman

DAY 3

Amman City tour, Mukawer, Shoback castle, Beida & Petra.
This morning enjoy a city tour of Amman visiting the Citadel, Roman theatre and the down town area which reflects the modern Amman.

Afterwards your private driver will transfer you south to Petra via the Kings Highway stopping to visit Mukawer,where St. John the Baptist was incacerated after the fateful dance of Salome. You will also visit Shoback Castle, one of the Crusader fortresses, and Beida (Little Petra), a place for trading caravans to stop en route between south Arabia and the Mediterranean. Overnight in Petra.

DAY 4

Private Petra Tour
After breakfast your private Petra tour starts on horseback, followed by a walk through the Siq, a long narrow fissure between two overhanging cliffs.

The Petra tour then gradually unfolds the mysteries of the Red Rose city with its spectacular Treasury, Royal Tombs, burial chambers and high places of sacrifice. Afternoon at leisure to explore upper Petra.

A La Carte optional extra: Tonight if it is Monday, Wednesday or Thursday you can participate in Petra by candlelight.

DAY 5

Private Transfer to explore Wadi Rum, Overnight in desert camp.
After morning at leisure in Petra to explore further if you wish continue your Jordan Holiday with a transfer south to the enchanting desert of Wadi Rum, Jordan's largest desert and one of the most spectacular desert landscapes in the world. Spend 3 hours being driven in a 4WD vehicle through the Wadi prior to enjoying a glass of wine at sunset.

Tonight you will stay in a desert camp in Wadi Rum. The camp takes up to 50 tents, each of which has 2 camping beds and electricity for a small beside table lamp.

DAY 6

Visit Kerak Castle, Wadi Mujib, Madaba, Mt Nebo and transfer to the Dead Sea
After breakfast transfer to visit Kerak Crusader castle, Wadi Mujib with its stunning landscape and views, and Madaba; the the city of Mosaics and Mt. Nebo one of the most revered holy sites in Jordan. Continue to the Dead Sea , the lowest point of earth.
Overnight at 5* Dead Sea hotel.

DAY 7

Dead Sea at leisure
Free time to enjoy the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is flanked by mountains to the east and the rolling hills of Jerusalem to the west, giving it an almost 'other-world' beauty. Overnight at the Dead Sea

Transfer to airport for flight home

Prepare a meal at the Petra Kitchen
On one of the nights while you are in Petra you can enjoy a night cuisine course and meal at the Petra Kitchen. The Petra Kitchen has a relaxed, informal atmosphere where you'll prepare an evening meal, working alongside local women under the supervision of a chef. This includes soup, cold and hot mezza and salads, a main course and take home recipes. This lasts about 2 1/2 hours.

Day excursion to visit the Desert Castles

Visit Jordan’s desert castles - beautiful examples of both early Islamic Art and architecture with their fine mosaics, frescoes inspired by the best in Persian and Greco Roman traditions.

Qasr Al Azraq: This dramatic castle crafted from black basalt rock was used by Lawrence of Arabia as his fortress during the Arab revolt of 1917.

Qusayr Amra: This is a bath house constructed during the 8th century containing the disrobing room, warm and hot rooms with extensive frescoes covering virtually all surfaces.

Qasr al Kharraneh: This is the most mysterious of the castles. Experts are divided – was it a safe haven for passing camel trains or a retreat for Umayyad leaders?

If you wanted to include a stop at the Red Sea then we can add this in. We recommend two five star hotels, The newly built Tala and the Kempinski, both with stunning locations and Spa treatments to relax into.

There is an excellent PADI school and a range of dives that can be organised. There are over 30 sites along the coastline most of which are in the Aqaba Marine Park. There is a large variety of differing topography and habitats with upwelling from the depths bringing nutrients to the reef and thus prolific marine life.

Even non divers can get out onto the water and snorkel, sunbathe or swim.

From here we will either continue on the itinerary or fly you back to Amman for the flight home.

DAY 1

Transfer from Amman to Israel. Private day tour Bethlehem including Church of Nativity, Manger Square, Shepherds Fields.
You will be transferred from Amman to the borders where you will be met and assisted with immigration. After clearing immigration enjoy a full tour of Bethlehem.

Visit the Church of Nativity entering through the door of humility and descend to the Grotto; a cavern beneath the church honoured as the site of Christs birth marked with a silver star in the floor as the very spot.

You will enjoy a short stroll through Manger Square before proceeding to the Shepherds Fields, identified with the shepherds who saw the star. A short drive takes you to your 4 star hotel in Jerusalem.

DAY 2

Private tour of Jerusalem including Stations Cross, Rabbinical Tunnel, Church Holy Sepulchre, Wailing Wall, Dome of the Rock, El Aqsa Mosque
You will begin the day with a short drive up to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city, and onto Mount Zion to visit the room of the last supper.

In Jerusalem visit the Armenian quarter, the Western Wall and from the outside view the Dome of the Rock and El Aqsa Mosque - Islams 3rd holiest place. You will walk along the Stations of the Cross, visit the Rabbinical Tunnel and enter the church of the Holy Sepulchre. Finally go shopping but be prepared to negotiate hard in the old marketplace!

Stay in Jerusalem in your 4 star hotel.

DAY 3

Transfer to Allenby Bridge and onwards to Amman
After breakfast you will be transferred from Jerusalem to Allenby bridge for departure. You will be met at the Jordanian side for your transfer to your hotel in Amman.

Private guided day tour of Cairo. Visit the Egyptian Museum of antiquities, housing the magnificent treasures of Tut Ankh Amon. Afterwards visit the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Kephren.

DAY 2

EITHER Visit Memphis and the Citadel of Saladin, Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, Khan El Khalili bazaars OR Visit Alexandria via the desert road
EITHER Visit Memphis "the ancient capital of Egypt" and its funerary Necropolis of Sakkara. Visit The Citadel of Saladin, Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, and world famous Khan El Khalili bazaars

OR Take a full day excursion by car to visit Alexandria. (Via the desert road), where you will visit the National Museum, Catacombs & Pompey's pillar. You will visit Montazah gardens surrounding King Farouk's Palace and return to Cairo early evening.

DAY 3

Transfer for flight home or for Luxury Nile Cruise on the Sonesta St George Cruise Boat
Transfer for flight home or to Nile Cruise on exceptional luxury Nile cruise on the Sonesta St George, one of the finest Cruise Ships on the Nile.

DAY 4

Private guided visit to the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, the Colossi of Memnon and Ramses.
A private guide will take you to the Valley of the Kings in Upper Egypt which contains many of the tombs of pharaohs from the New Kingdom, including Ramsees the Great and the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Continue to see the famous 'Colossi of Memnon'. These massive quartzite statues which once flanked the entrance to Amenhotep III's mortuary temple now stand virtually alone in a field.

DAY 5

DAY 9

Private guided visit to Karnak and Luxor
Sail to Luxor where your private guide will take you to visit the Karnak and Luxor temples, travelling along an avenue of ram-headed Sphinxes for 2 miles to Karnak Temple, the centre of worship in ancient Egypt.

DAY 10

Private transfer to Airport for flight home
