Iceland's Hotel Ranga has been recognised three times at the annual International Hotel Awards.
Receiving two nods, the hotel was crowned regional winner 'Best Resort Hotel in Europe 2011' as well emerging victorious in the 'Best Resort Hotel Iceland' category. Additionally, Hotel Ranga was highly commended under the 'Hotel Iceland' banner.
These prestigious awards are just the latest accolades to be bestowed on Hotel Ranga after it was named by Tourism and Aviation as one of the top five places from which to see the Northern Lights, owing to its spectacular position.
Situated in a rural location, the website says, it enjoys miles and miles of uninterrupted, 360 degree views of the sky. From September to March, it boasts some of the most incredible Northern lights displays.
A message on the hotel's website confirmed that the staff were "very honoured and proud" to win the awards.
"It goes without saying that the hotel is delighted and thrilled go receive this recognition and three different awards," Hotel Ranga says.
"This prestigious and sought-after award is an encouragement for us to continue our work and make sure Hotel Ranga is a welcoming place for visitors from all over the world seeking to experience everything Iceland has to offer."
