Private Tour of Yusupov's Palace where Rasputin was murdered

The story of Rasputin’s murder unfolds here!

In 1916 a group of the city’s noble elite conspired to kill the one man who they felt threatened the stability of an already war-torn Russian Empire. Grigory Rasputin. His control over the decisions of the family and the Russian ruler himself put him in a potentially manipulative position and posed a very real threat to their power. Consequently, Rasputin was murdered at the Yusupov Palace on the night of December 16-17 1916, and his death proved to be an almost greater mystery than his life had been. This tour is approximately 3 hours long.

Reviews & Feedback

Testimonials

Our trip to Russia was fantastic. We were amazed by the sights we saw. The tour went without a hitch, everything worked wonderfully. Our guide in St Petersburg, Olga, was absolutely excellent, professional and knowledgeable. Our guide for our time in Moscow, Inam, was friendly, knowledgeable and energetic. I would highly recommend the additional options that we took for our tour of the Yusopov Palace and the Faberge museum. My stepfather was particularly blown away by the fact that we stood in the room where Rasputin was murdered. Thank you to you and your colleagues for all the hard work involved in planning our wonderful holiday.

Alexandra

"Thankyou so much to the guide who was so knowledgeable and steered us through the rather austere Russian red tape. Highlight for me was Catherines Palace and the fountains- so beautiful”
